Don't settle for a "basic 5 page" website

Think of your website as a marketing tool
Like any other marketing outlet, your marketing efforts need to be dynamic and change. Your wesbite is no different. The idea of getting a cost effective basic 5 page website is obsolete. In order to keep traffic coming to your website and stay higher on the search engines you need to have fresh content. With most basic 5 page website packages, adding new content and functionality can be very costly, and turn your cost effective 5 page website into a sloppy, expensive mess.
Your website like other marketing efforts need to be able to change and grow. The ability to add or change services, products, and content should be easily available on your website. The advancement of content management systems no give you the ability to control all of the content on your website with little to no HTML or CSS knowledge and no extra costs. View our custom content management system demo to see how simple it really is to control your website.
Pay for functionality, not for pages
Too many web design and web development companies base prices on how many pages you need on your website. The reality is, once you code 1 page, you can almost copy it and use it as a template for the rest of the pages. Even if you do have 5 custom pages, the basics are mostly the same and get copied on the rest of the pages.
When considering starting a website or revamping your current website, you need to think how you want your website to function. Adding functionality to your website is what should cost money, not changing or adding content. Functionality includes mailing lists, photo galleries, forms, etc., basically items that are not text based changes to your website.
Get some pictures on your website
Modern content management systems give you the ability to upload, resize, and position your images. Images not only make your website look good, it breaks up the content and gives the user a more involved experience. You can also use images to encourage users to contact you, view a specific service or product, the possibilities are endless.
This doesn't mean you should just upload any image. You need to ensure that your images are properly sized and don't cause your wesbite to load slowly. Users hate slow loading pages, so you may need a graphic designer to ensure that your images look good, and are correctly sized for your website.
