OLV church upgrades their website to use our content management system
You may be thinking, why would a church need to update their website regularly with a content management system? Well, a church is actually a great example of an organization that can really benefit from a content management system, and this past week I implemented a content management system for the OLV parish website. They have a large community, are always hosting events and fundraisers, and have tons of information to share with their community. Here are 5 benefits of using a content management system on a church website.
1. Manage event calendar
With events constantly going on at a church, having a website that can be updated regularly is a great way to market their events and bring more people. Most church events are nonprofit, so being able to post the event on a public forum such as a website offers a great marketing advantage. Members of the community who may not be able to find out about events can now go to the church's website and see what is going on when.
2. Post information regularly
A church is a busy place behind the scenes. Not only do they host events for the community but they also hold other religious ceremonys and are constantly getting new information that is valuable to it's community. Posting this information on your website creates a community feeling and puts the information out there for everyone to find.
3. Manage mailing list
Of all the social media websites and marketing methods, your email list is the most important. These are people that signed up for your list so you can send them updates and information. A church can use their mailing list to keep it's community updated on events and all of the happenings with the parish.
4. Manage and repy to information requests
A church usualy has a large community. With a large community come a lot of questions. A content management system stores these requests in a database allowing you to respond on your time rather than the requests getting lost in your email inbox.
5. Post pictures
People love pictures. Posting pictures from events and other parish happenings will keep people interested in what's going on with the parish. Event better, allowing users to share pictures on social networking websites lets your message get out to a much more broad audience. Pictures from an event can draw others to come participate in the next event.
There you have it, 5 ways a content management system can be used by a church website. If you would like to integrate a content management system on your website, give me a call at 732-925-4044 or fill out the contact form.
