Do you have a website plan for 2011?

No? Well it's not too late

The new year symbolizes new beginnings. A fresh start. And why not start 2011 with an upgraded web presence for business. Here are 3 reasons with upgrade your web presence in 2011.

1. Get more business

Most people when looking for a product or service go to the internet. And it's easy to understand why. It's relatively easy to find information, and there is a ton of information available. The ability to compare products or read reviews of products or services can be the deciding factor for a visitor. A professional website developer will be able to assist in a website plan that will draw visitors and get you more business.

2. Be the first in your business

Many people think since none of their competition has a website, there is no need for them to have a website. If you think that nobody in your industry has a website, try searching for it. Go to Google.com and enter your product or service. If nobody else has a website then you are in a great position to be number 1 on Google, which leads you back to number 1. More traffic and more business.

While this would be great, but the it's highly unlikely that you will be the first to start a website in your industry. But this doesn't mean you can't still be number 1. With an interactive website and website marketing plan, you can compete on the internet with any website in your industry.

3. Develop better customer relationships

Giving your customers updates even just a few times a month will keep you fresh on their minds. So the next time they are thinking about your product, your name comes up first in their head. A website with a content management system will allow you to add content whenever you would like. This includes adding pictures, links, and formatted text with an easy to use Microsoft Word like text editor called a WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get).

My recommendation, do some research. Talk to a few web developers and get to understand the process that will be followed while your website is being developed. Know exactly what you are getting before signing any agreements. A website plan should be carefully planned out and agreed upon before any actual work begins.
