Why Is Your Business Website Not A Success?

Top 5 Reasons Most Business Websites Fail
There are many reasons that business websites fail. Some websites can easily be fixed and some will take a little more effort. What's certain is that these tips will help your business website be more successful. Here are 5 reasons most business websites fail.
1. No Content or Old Content
Depending on how your website is setup, this could be easy or hard. With a content management system, adding new content and updating your website should be easy. If you don't have a content management system, you may need to hire a developer to add pages to your website, or add a content management system to your website. Whichever method you choose, get your website updated! And often.
2. No Way To Interact
Why would a visitor come back to your website if there's nothing in it for them? One of the biggest search terms in search engines is free. If you can give something away, offer specials to mailing list subscribers, and social media fans. The more you interact with visitors, the greater chance of them coming back and referring friends.
3. Ugly Design
Nobody likes an ugly website. Though, design should always be second to functionality, nobody wants to look at an ugly website. At the very least, ensure that your text is easy to read. Make sure your text color isn't too similar to the background the text is on.
4. Confusing Navigation
This is an issue I see way too many times. Confusing navigation. When considering your websites main navigation, think like a visitor. What do they want to know? Why are they visiting your website. If you offer a service, include a services link in the main navigation, if you offer products, include a products link in the main navigation. Other standards for main navigation include, home, contact us, and about us. Make it as easy as possible for users to find what you are selling them.
5. Errors
Coding errors on your website will turn off visitors. Coding errors can make your site not look good by distorting certain code, or make your website not even function at all. Ensuring your website is error-less in at least 3 of the most popular browsers will reduce your chances of losing visitors due to coding errors.
