How revolutionunlimited.com was re-designed in a weekend

In the spirit of keeping things fresh, I decided revolutionunlimited.com needed a face lift. Most of the time when you talk about website re-design, you're not just talking about how the website looks. A good website re-design is a restructuring of the website and making it more user friendly. However, if you're website is already user friendly, your data is is stored in a database, and you used CSS, you can change the entire look of your website in a few days.

So, since I have a decent amount of pages on my website and they're stored in a database, managed by a content management system, and I used CSS, changing the look was easy. It was easy because my website is a dynamic css based website.

Dynamic CSS Based Websites

Changing the look was as simple as changing a style sheet (CSS) and the HTML templates. The great advantage about having a dynamic website that uses css is that it is very easy to change the look. All of the programming is already done which really saves a ton of time. So if you want to have a different theme for every season, it really isn't too tough to do.

Static Websites

Having a static website isn't a terrible thing, as long as CSS was used for your layout. CSS really makes it easy to change how most of the elements on your website look.
