SnowMelt Inc. Website Development & Custom CMS

SnowMelt Inc. provides radiant heat and heated driveway services to all of New Jersey, all five boros of New York City as well as Orange, Rockland, Westchester, Long Island and Putnam County, New York.

SnowMelt had a website that was developed on the Mura CMS platform. They wanted to make some complex changes and add features, and working with Mura wasn't going to work. After a few emails and phone conversations, we came up with a plan for converting the website to a very powerful custom content management system.

The front end of the website wasn't changed too much. A few text and formatting changes. 1 major addition was the Request A Quote form. This is no simple form. After a visitor submits the form a series of calculations are performed and the information is saved in a database.

The custom content management system is where the website becomes a real time and money saving tool. After a quote request is submitted, you can take that information and create a proposal.

When creating a proposal, you can view and modify information that was submitted from the quote request form as well as add products with a minimum and maximum quantity. A minimum and maximum total is generated so that SnowMelt can tell the client a price range, rather than a set number.

After a proposal is complete, it can be printed for your records or for a client.
